Courtney Wilson

I'm Courtney Wilson and I'm the founder of The Trailblazer Journals. I'm a twenty-something millennial living in Birmingham, Alabama. I'm passionate about leading leaders, developing dreams in our generation and helping others live out their God-given purpose.

There are many people throughout history that have blazed trails for us to be where we are today. There are many pioneers throughout scripture that persevered in their faith to show us the way. From Abraham, Jacob, and Moses all the way to Jesus who is the pioneer and perfecter of our faith. I believe we can all be trailblazers. A trailblazer is something I aspire to be in my generation. I hope to make a difference in others lives and lead others to know their purpose too.

Becky Leach - Quarterly Writer

Becky is an artist, instagrammer, wannabe runner and obsessive coffee drinker from Allen, TX. She is mom to three crazy kiddos and married her high school sweetheart, who just so happens to also be her State Representative. The beat of Becky’s heart is to equip women in living their best life, fully engaged with the love of Jesus while passionately running toward their unique calling.

In the summer of 2013, Becky found herself working in a remote Ugandan village, fully expecting to call her husband & tell him they were going to be adopting a child. Instead, God grabbed a hold of Becky's heart and breathed a fresh message of hope, pursuit and calling. Instead of traveling halfway across the world to find a child, she found a message.

As Becky began to wrestle with importance and purpose in her own life, she found that no purpose, talent or gifting is insignificant. If she was sitting across her table with you, discussing the latest drama on the Real Housewives or how Dak played in Sunday's game, she wouldn't let you leave without telling you this : Whether you feel like you are just a mom, just a wife, just a student, just a girl trying to do a good job, God has a plan for you TODAY. Let's stop waiting for the next thing together and start doing this thing.

She is being a trailblazer by encouraging open and honest conversation within the women in her community.

Julie Gutierrez - Quarterly Writer

My name is Julie Gutierrez and I am a 20-something living in Auburn, Alabama! I am a recent graduate of the Highlands College in Birmingham, Alabama where I studied ministry and currently interning at Church of the Highlands here in Auburn! I dream of one day being a wifey, momma, author, and speaker! I know that God has called me to reach my generation and bring others along side me to help raise up the next generation through my words, and I want to make Him proud through my actions. I truly believe that with faith in Jesus, good community, and a great outfit, anything is possible! I love serving the Lord and the local church, and when I’m not at the church you can usually find me writing or reading in a coffee shop, out shopping with my girls, or cuddled up on the couch watching a movie (probably Disney.) I can’t wait to experience the journey of life with you!

I am trailblazer because I am a first-generation Christian in my family. Every day through my words, actions, and serving the Lord, they are one step closer to meeting Jesus, knowing his love, and experiencing life with an eternal impact.

Crystal Wojdyla - Quarterly Writer

My name is Crystal Wojdyla (VOY-DEE-WAH). That’s a little difficult to say, so feel free to just say Wojo (WHOA-JOE)! I am a writer, fitness enthusiast, passionate speaker and dreamer always pointing to the name of Jesus.

Now, to be transparent, nothing in this world makes me happier than a book in hand and a cup of coffee that’s darker than night. I enjoy runs along Lake Michigan, traveling, and making people do burpees. Just kidding. I am, however, in the process of becoming an NASM Certified Personal Trainer, and love all things fitness.

I was born and raised in the city of Chicago; sometimes it’s beautiful, and other days it’s winter! But a Chicago gal, I shall always be. I am blessed to be married to a phenomenal, God-fearing man, who goes by the name of Anthony August. My home church is @peoplechurch in Chicago. We are always looking to connect Jesus to people and people to Jesus.

Above all, nothing screams Crystal more than my love for Jesus. Through all the challenges and changes I have encountered in this lifetime, I know one thing that remains consistent: my passion for articulating God’s heart to His people. I pray one day to speak globally and write countless books to show people the IMPOSSIBLE that God is capable of.

I’m a trailblazer because I speak boldly in my writing the truths that God has revealed to me in my relationship with Him, in hopes of guiding others into their own personal encounter with Him.

Ivancka Sinha - Guest Writer

My name is Ivancka. I love a good laugh and hugs. I have a passion for inner city ministry and mentoring young girls. I have considered home to be India, Singapore, Phillipines and Louisiana. These places are significant in making the person I am today and infused a desire to bridge the gap when it comes to cultural barriers. Home right now is Birmingham, AL where I work in the corporate world hoping to bring the gospel in the secular world. When I am not at work, you can find me in the kitchen or watching a show on Netflix.

As a trailblazer my involvement with a non profit called Open Eyes ( has allowed me to make a difference. Through this organization, I mentor two teenage girls who mean the world to me and my dream is that they will break out of the cycle of poverty. Through a direct relationship, I hope to encourage them to keep their eyes on Jesus and promote an interest in pursuing education.
